2011 Memphis Women’s Tennis Fact Book
For the last two weeks at work, I’ve been working on designing and laying out the 2011 Memphis Women’s Tennis Fact Book. Instead of putting out media guides for all the sports this season–something rendered obsolete by the NCAA ruling that coaches can no longer mail them out to recruits–our office decided to launch a “virtual guide” and “fact book” for each sport.
The virtual guides contain videos, flash movements, audio, and other interactive features that are largely geared at drawing interest from fans and recruits. That guide focuses more on the aesthetic appeal than the text within. The fact books are the meat of the operation, containing full player biographies, schedules, opponent information, all-time records, etc.
